These consummations started by individuals, groups, and sometimes state or federal government organizations. One would agree that the struggle to declare and maintain those civil rights is an ongoing one, continuing through today. rudimentary gestures that drastically impact American life were the civil rights motility and the American gay rights movement. After the Civil War, freed slaves seemed to obtain draw rights with the passing of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. However, after Reconstruction ended in 1876, these rights were not truly implemented until later in the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1896 case of Plessy v.
